Artist statement:
I have been photographing for approximately 5 years, starting off with my kids sports. As time went on, I realised I really enjoyed it, and was convinced to join the Greymouth Photography Club.
Since then I have honed my skills, learning everything that my camera is capable of. I have taken a liking to portrait photography...with eyes being the main focus. However, I dabble with nature, landscape, macro, and have tried a little bit of ICM.
Over the past two years, I have worked pretty hard and have been fortunate enough to obtain my honours through NZ (LPSNZ), France (AFIAP), America (QPSA) & Australia (AAPS).
I use a full Sony mirrorless system, with lenses that range from macro, through to 600mm telephoto.
My images are entered nationally and internationally in a competitive format. It allows me to see how well they sit amongst the best in the world.
