Beanstack is an online platform and app that allows us to add a bit of fun to our reading by earning digital badges and achievements (and sometimes real-life prizes) by reading and taking part in challenges and activities.

While you can access any of these features all year round and there are challenges which can be completed at any time. There will also be special fun limited-time challenges with different themes added by our library team to add even more spice to your reading throughout the year.

Log the minutes you read and complete fun activities to earn badges throughout the challenge.
Pick up a tracker map for the challenge from the library (or download one here) and collect badge stickers from the library to mark your challenge progress.
All readers who complete the challenge by earning ten reading badges and three activity badges will win a shiny new book.

Ages 0-6 years
One thousand books? That seems like way too many, right? Not at all. You got this. It doesn't matter if your child is three, or just three months - there's no better time to start than now!
Reading helps build social and emotional skills, sparks creativity and imagination, promotes bonding, and helps kids do well overall in school. Take that motivation, open one book, and get started. And remember, 1000 is just a number. The goal is to work reading aloud into your regular routine and let the magic of stories do the rest.
