Westland District Library is part of a consortium of South Island Public Libraries (South Island Downloadable Zone) formed to bring you a wide selection of e-Books and e-Audiobooks to borrow. To access these resources you will need your library card number, password and a device compatible with the Libby by Overdrive App. Download the App and sign in with your library card details. If you have an older device, Libby may not work but you may still be able to download the older Overdrive App on to your device to access the service, we have provided a link to some FAQ’s.
Our Bolinda Borrowbox collection is part of a consortium of West Coast and Tasman Libraries, the BorrowBox collection has more than 1500 e-books and e-audios. Visit the BorrowBox webpage or download the BorrowBox App and sign in with your library card details to get started.
We are delighted to be able to offer library members complimentary access to PressReader, a collection of quality magazines and newspapers from 120 countries in 60 languages. The library provides a HotSpot for all customers to access PressReader whilst in the library. Library members will be able to access PressReader from anywhere, through the App, using their library card number and password. From November 1st 2019 Stuff titles will no longer be accessible to patrons from home, these titles will only be available on www.pressreader.com using the hotspot in the library. Covid-19 Lockdown update: Our colleagues at Ulverscroft are giving library members free access to their uLibrary audiobooks until July 31st. There are hundreds of great audiobooks available, with no waiting and no holds. Just click the uLibrary box below and complete the registration form to apply for an access code and password then download the uLIBRARY App and get listening.
