Westland District Library is part of a consortium of South Island Public Libraries (South Island Downloadable Zone) formed to bring you a wide selection of e-Books and e-Audiobooks to borrow.

To access these resources you will need your library card number, password and a device compatible with the Libby app.

Our Bolinda BorrowBox collection is part of a consortium of West Coast and Tasman Libraries, the BorrowBox collection has more than 1500 e-books and e-audios. Visit the BorrowBox webpage or download the BorrowBox App and sign in with your library card details to get started.

eNewspapers and eMagazines

PressReader

The library provides a HotSpot for all customers to access PressReader whilst in the library.

Library members will be able to access PressReader from anywhere, through the App, using their library card number and password.

From 1 November 2019, Stuff titles will no longer be accessible to patrons from home, these titles will only be available using the hotspot in the library. This change ONLY impacts Stuff Ltd newspapers and magazines, all other titles will be available as normal through both the website and App.

Beanstack

Take part in fun reading challenges for all ages with Beanstack.

Beanstack allows you to time reading sessions, log books you have read to keep a log of current and past reading, track your daily reading stats and achieve streaks for reading multiple days in a row.
